INSTRUCTIONS FOR CHANGING THE COMPANY VOICE MAIL GREETINGS

(Stratagy IVP8, 28/40)

      1.    Dial 300.  When you are asked for your security code press #.

  1.  Press *990#
  1. Enter the security code when prompted (usually ******#)
  1. Next you will hear the main menu and you will select 3 to “Manage your mailbox”.
  1. Select 1 to “Change your greeting”. (Remember: This is the Company Greeting, usually “Thank you for calling the XYZ Company.) [Instructions for changing the Instruction Greeting follow later.]

When you are asked to select a greeting, press * and make a note of the current greeting number.  The announced greeting number will have to be selected later in order to have the correct greeting playing after you finish recording and/or rerecording.

  1. Select the number of the greeting you are recording/ rerecording.
  1. (You should always press 1 to review the greeting you have selected, just to make sure you are actually where you want to be).
  1. After reviewing the greeting, press 2 to rerecord.  Always use the handset and never record using the speakerphone.  Always press # to stop recording as soon as you are through speaking.  (Helpful Hint: If you make a mistake while recording: DO NOT HANG UP THE PHONE!  If you do, you will have to start the whole procedure all over again.  If you make a mistake, simply press # to stop recording and then press 2 to rerecord).
  1. After you have stopped recording, press 1 to review and listen for any mistakes or background noise.  If you need to rerecord, press 2.
  1. Once you have successfully rerecorded you greeting and are satisfied with it, press 9 to save.

If you need to rerecord the Instruction Greeting: (The instructional greeting is in Box 991, security code: ******#)

  •  Log into box 991 just as you did for Box 990 (i.e. *991#).
  •  Follow the same instructions for 990, substituting the security code of ******#.
  •  Remember: Any press 1, 2, etc., instructions must be changed by Roeing’s Phone Tech, as this
  •                requires a Telnet connection to the VM.
